Looking Back
Four Years of the Anne Frank Center
As we celebrate the fourth anniversary of the Anne Frank Center at the University of South Carolina, we pause to reflect on how far we’ve come since opening our doors on September 8, 2021.
In just four years, the Center has welcomed students, educators, and visitors from across the state and beyond. Through guided tours, lectures, and special programs, we’ve shared Anne Frank’s story — not just as history, but as a living reminder of the importance of empathy, courage, and the defense of human dignity.
Our work has grown with each passing year. We’ve expanded our educational outreach, partnered with schools and community organizations, and deepened our role as a resource for dialogue about history, prejudice, and hope. These efforts are made possible by the commitment of our dedicated staff, the support of the University, and the engagement of our community.
As we enter our fifth year, our mission remains clear: to honor Anne’s legacy by fostering understanding, compassion, and resilience. Thank you for walking this journey with us — and for helping us ensure that her story continues to inspire generations to come.
